About Us
SA Uni is an independent education resource built for students in the United States and the families who support them. We publish clear, practical guides that make the path to and through college easier to understand.
Why we started SA Uni
Applying to college, paying for it, and succeeding once you arrive involves dozens of decisions and deadlines. Official information is often scattered across many websites and written in technical language. Many students — especially first-generation students — don't have someone at home who has been through the process. SA Uni exists to close that gap with straightforward, step-by-step guidance.
What we cover
- College Admissions: building a college list, application plans, essays, and recommendations.
- Financial Aid & Scholarships: the FAFSA, grants, federal loans, work-study, and scholarship searches.
- Study Skills: research-backed learning strategies, note-taking, and time management.
- Test Prep: the digital SAT, the ACT, and AP exams.
- Campus Life: roommates, friendships, and wellbeing.
- Online & Alternative Learning: online classes, community college transfer, and dual enrollment.
- Career Planning: choosing a major, internships, resumes, and career services.
How we create content
Every guide is researched and written by the SA Uni Editorial Team. We rely on primary and official sources — such as StudentAid.gov, the U.S. Department of Education, the College Board, ACT, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and college admissions and financial aid offices — and we review articles when policies change. You can read more in our Editorial Policy.
Our independence
SA Uni is not affiliated with any college, testing organization, lender, or government agency. We may display advertising to keep the site free, but advertisers have no influence over what we write.
